A tragic accident in Thailand involving several vehicles robbed the life of a 37-year-old woman, and her grieving lover sat and wept next to her corpse before the body was taken away.

The accident took place on Thursday (18 September) at 11:30 AM along Motorway Route 7 in Chonburi. The victim, Miss Nipaphorn, was killed on the spot after she was flung in the direction of the truck from the motorcycle that she was on.

Her 27-year-old boyfriend, who was riding the motorcycle, survived the crash.

A van driver was also involved but fled the scene

According to the driver of the 18-wheeler involved in the incident, he had just driven out of the junction when a pickup truck and a van suddenly overtook him before braking suddenly.

Niphaporn and her boyfriend were right behind, and in an attempt to avoid a collision, the motorcycle swerved before clipping another vehicle, causing the woman to be thrown directly into the truck’s path.

Not only did Nipaphorn not make it out alive, but when her partner looked back at the van and the pickup truck, both drivers had fled the scene.

The boyfriend, Mr Jakkraphan, recounted how the pickup truck and van suddenly braked while he was overtaking on the left lane.

He said that he tried to swerve the vehicles that braked suddenly, only for him to hit another vehicle before his partner was thrown in the direction of the 18-wheeler, as reported by the Thai media.

Images showing Jakkraphan crying and holding the hand of his girlfriend’s lifeless body are also circulating.
