Luxury car drivers tend to disregard road rules on Malaysian roads, causing them to have quite a reputation among the general public.

Here’s an example of this.

The MYNEWSHUB Twitter page recently shared a video of a Tesla driver reversing on a highway heading towards the Sungai Besi toll booth in Selangor after they had presumably missed an exit.

MYNEWSHUB wrote, “It’s 2024. We already have smartphone. We already have smart cars. This Tesla (driver) thinks that they can use the left lane to reverse because they missed their exit. This incident happened at the Sungai Besi toll booth road. This is an example of ‘smart people’ in 2024.”

In the video, the Tesla driver could be seen slowly reversing their car on the most left lane while there were no other vehicles on that lane.

Though, soon after, another car showed up behind the Tesla, causing the Tesla driver to stop.

Netizens took to the post to echo their opinion that, just because the vehicle is a smart car doesn’t mean that the driver is smart.

Tesla 4

“Just because they have smart technology doesn’t mean that the user is smart.”

Tesla 3

“So, it is proven that no matter how smart a car or technology is, if the user’s mind is useless…”

Tesla 1

“Your car does not represent your brain’s capacity to think.”

Tesla 2

Perhaps Elon Musk should include features for Tesla’s to identify and take over when a driver is making an unintelligent move.
