Considering the crowds of people stranded at closed LRT stations, the RapidKL buses provided to transport them to their destinations were severely insufficient, causing people to push and scream to get on the limited buses.

But, Malaysians can rejoice at the fact that the Selangor state government is helping to rectify the situation effectively.

Selangor Chief Minister YAB MB Amirudin Shari took to his Twitter profile to showcase Smart Selangor buses ready to assist with transporting passengers to where they need to go.

He wrote, “In line with yesterday’s announcement where the Selangor State Government will provide 20 buses to help ease the burden of LRT users, this morning, services have started in several key locations.”

Netizens have since praised the MB and his state government for being swift and effective, especially by providing the additional Smart Selangor buses without disturbing their daily operations.

“The Selangor state government can provide buses without disrupting Smart Selangor bus operations. RapidKL pulls RapidKL buses and affects the operations of other RapidKL buses. RapidKL management has no plan to effectively deal with problems and risks.”

“MB, you are the best. You understand the struggles of the B40 community who want to get to work. It is okay for ministers as they have drivers, free cars and free petrol.”

During such massive inconveniences (with the closure of 16 LRT stations), at least the Selangor state government is doing their job right!
