With the rising number of cases, most people want to get vaccinated quickly. However, certain categories of people, such as pregnant and breastfeeding women can only take particular vaccines.

In the prior MySejahtera updates, there wasn’t an option for pregnant and breastfeeding women to update their status. However, on 2 June, CITF sent out a tweet stating that the aforementioned group of people will now be able to update their status on MySejahtera.

The steps are quite simple. All you have to do is go to your MySejahtera application, tap on ‘Covid-19 Vaccination’ and you will be brought to this screen:

When you click on it, you will have to fill in the following details.

It will then be reflected on your main page:

CITF has also said that it is important for pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers to update their status so that they can receive a vaccination appointment based on the vaccine that is suitable for them.

Other than that, they have also included an infographic on the types of vaccines suitable for this demographic.

Sinovac is not recommended at this time for both parties. Pfizer, on the other hand, is suitable for pregnant ladies who are 14-33 weeks along. Soon-to-be mothers also have the option of postponing till after birth. This vaccine is also suitable for breastfeeding mothers. The AstraZeneca vaccine is not suitable for pregnant women but suitable for breastfeeding mummies.

There you have it! Don’t forget to share this with your friends and family who might benefit from this article!
