Ever try to arrest someone and then get punched in the face for it? Most of us will probably never be in that situation, let alone being on the other side and being the one doing the punching. A policeman from Butterworth, Penang certainly has.

Yesterday (18th February 2020), as reported by Malay Mail, a constable got his nose lit up when he body-searched a man who, according to him, looked suspicious. The man, as stated by Seberang Perai Utara (SPU) district police chief ACP Noorzainy Mohd Noor, was initially ordered to stop for inspection, but however sped off in a haste for fear of being caught.

Unfortunately for him, the constable caught up to him anyway at a stop and instructed the man to comply with a body check. The man was said to have acted aggressively, punching the constable in the face and injuring him. Gosh, that must have hurt!

The man then hurled abusive words at the constable, and a fight went down when he tried to grab his keys and flee.

A little fidgety for nothing, don’t you think? Well, not really, because shortly after, the constable seized a transparent plastic package filled with drugs from the car of the accused.

The man was found to have previous criminal and drug records, and to add the cherry on top of the cake, he was also tested positive for drugs.

He has been remanded for five days as the case is being further investigated, whereas the constable sustained a fractured nose and has been sent to Seberang Jaya Hospital for treatment.

Seems to be like the constable will recover fully and all is well in the world again!
