Following JAKIM’s response to the motivational program in Shah Alam that allegedly promoted heresy and indecent dancing, PDRM is now investigating the matter.

According to a statement by Shah Alam District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim, one of the witnesses who attended the family programme in September 2024 has provided a statement to the police.

Iqbal stated that the police are currently working to locate more witnesses from the event, and that a police report was lodged regarding the matter in February this year.

“We have also invited a representative from JAIS to assist with the investigation.”

Meanwhile, the police are urging the public especially those with pictures or videos of the motivational event to come forward and assist with the investigation, Malaysia Gazette reported.

A viral Facebook post recently revealed the alleged activities that took place during the event, which was targeted at divorced women or those experiencing marital problems. These activities reportedly included elements of heresy and indecent dancing.

The post also claimed that some participants took part in a “sacred bath” ritual, described as a symbolic rebirth at the end of the programme.
