According to a report by Sinar Harian, the Pasir Puteh District Police Chief, Superintendent Zaizul Rizal Zakaria, shared that, at about 7:35 PM, his department received a call from the public informing them that a boy was suspected to have drowned at the mouth of the river.

“Acting on this information, a team of officers from the Cherang Ruku Police Station and Pasir Puteh IPD went to the scene of the incident. We found the victim’s body at the face of a cliff, where further inspections around the area of the incident bore no criminal elements that could be linked (to this case),” he said.
