PDRM is Seeking Information on Individual Seen Dangerously Going Downhill on Street Luge in Penang

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is currently in the process of investigating an individual who was spotted on a street luge (a downhill longboard), going down a hill in traffic on Jalan Tun Sardon, Penang.

According to a report by Sinar Harian, the police are urging anyone with information on the individual using the longboard to come forward to assist with their investigation.

“The police are taking this issue seriously because the individual’s actions endanger themselves and other road users,”

“This case is being investigated in accordance with Section 3(1) of the Road Traffic Control Rules (Prohibition of the Use of Micromobility Vehicles) 2021,” Barat Daya District Police Chief, Superintendent Kamarul Rizal Jenal shared.

Anyone with information on this incident can contact the Barat Daya Police Operations Room atĀ 04-8664122 or the investigating officer of the case, Inspector Noor Amera Mohd Nawi at 013-3312026.

 

This comes after footage of the individual had gone viral online.Ā

In the video, the individual could be seen wearing a white helmet and lying down on the street luge while going down the hill among traffic on Jalan Tun Sardon, Penang.

At one point, the individual sits up and stretches their arms out.
