At this point, it’s safe to assume that everyone knows who Joceyln Chia is. But, just in case you don’t, she’s the ex-Singaporean comedian who made an insensitive, out-of-line joke about the disappearance of MH370.

Considering that no one messes with Malaysians besides Malaysians, many took to social media to chew her out but it seems like her 15 minutes of fame with Malaysians may be coming to an end.

BERNAMA took to their Twitter page to share that the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) will be making an effort to reach out to Interpol to help track her down but netizens believe that Malaysia has wasted more than enough time and energy on the comedian.

They wrote, “PDRM will make an application to Interpol to get the full identity and latest location of comedian Jocelyn Chia, says the Chief of Police.”

Malaysians, on the other hand, are urging the authorities to just ban Jocelyn from Malaysia and focus on more necessary people.

“There’s no need to waste time. Finding Jho Low is more important. PDRM should focus on more serious things, not comedy. She’s already been beaten flat on social media.”

Find 2

“I don’t think there’s a need for that. As long as she is not allowed to enter Malaysia, I think that’s enough.”

Find 3

“There’s no need to find her la, it’s enough to just ban her from entering the country.”

Perhaps they’ve got a point here.

So, what do you think? Should the authorities attempt to take action against Jocelyn Chia or should be make like Princess Else and let it go?

Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
