The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is currently investigating a viral video of a policeman who was spotted smoking in a restaurant in Taman Tasik Indah, Kluang, Johor.

According to a report by Sinar Harian, the Kluang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohd Noh, shared that a review showed that the individual in the viral video is a member of the Kluang District Police Headquarters (IPD).

“The Kluang IPD will conduct a disciplinary investigation into the member involved, including from a supervisory aspect. PDRM will not hesitate to take strict action against any officer or member who tarnishes the image of the force,” he said.

Prior to this, a 7-second video had gone viral online as it showed 2 uniformed personnel at a restaurant, where one of them was seen breaking the law by smoking at the premises.
