PDRM In Search Of IG Account Owners Who Performed ‘Obscene’ Live Broadcast With Minors

Two Instagram account owners with the usernames, ‘Safieilyas’ and ‘Pipinatasha’ have been asked to step forward to assist in an investigation relating to a live video that appeared on the social media application.

Based on a report by Sinar Harian, the Kajang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Tuan Mohd Zaid Hassan shared that the live video allegedly contained pornographic and sexual communication involving underaged minors.

“Police received a report from a lecturer regarding the Instagram live link belonging to ‘safieyillias94’, who is the co-host of the account with the Instagram ID, ‘pipinatasha’, who was dressed in eye-catching clothes. The Instagram live also involved two minors.”

“The lecturer saw the live broadcast on Wednesday at about 9pm while at his house in Bangi, before making a police report,” he said, adding that the hosts committed an act that can be defined as obscene and sexual communication involving minors.

“They also showed the action of vaping to the children.”

“Anyone who has any information on the incident or the suspects can contact any police station or investigating officers,” he added.

This case is currently being investigated under Section 12 (1) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act.
