Two days ago, WOB reported a viral story about a family of six who had to live in fear for three years as they were constantly harassed by a group of Ah Longs. They even followed the poor family to their house and splashed their car with red paint. What’s even more saddening is that the family never even borrowed money from the Ah Longs, to begin with!

In fact, it was the original owner of the house used the residential address the family was living in to take out a loan from the Ah Longs.

According to a Sinar Harian report, the police denied the allegations saying that they did not take any legal action concerning the case of a family in Seri Kembangan who was disturbed by the Ah Longs.

Serdang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Razali Abu Samah, said that the police had opened an investigation paper under Section 427 of the Penal Code.

He confirmed that they had received a report from the victim. The investigation paper has been opened, and an investigation is underway.

Apart from that, Razali said that his party was quite upset with the victim for making accusations on social media claiming that the police did not take any action regarding the incident.

He said that previously they had recorded the explanations of the victim and the original owner of the house. “The police carried out their duties, instead of not doing anything as the victim claimed,” he said.

He stressed that making accusations to the police on social media indirectly affected the image of the authorities involved.
