PDRM Arrests 9 Men as Young as 18 Over Massive Brawl at Johor Eatery Instigated by Loud Motorbike Noise

9 individuals, including a teenage boy, were arrested after being suspected of being involved in a massive fight at a restaurant in Rengit, Johor, on Monday night (27 October) at about 10:30 PM.

According to a report by Kosmo!, it is understood that the fight was caused by dissatisfaction over noise and disturbances caused by one of them riding a motorcycle.

9 men arrested for engaging in a massive brawl at a restaurant in Johor

The Batu Pahat District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Shahrulanuar Mushaddat Abdullah Sani, shared that the police received a report in regards to the fight and arrested 9 men, aged between 18 and 35.

“The arrests were made at 12:10 AM yesterday (28 October), to assist in investigations under Section 148 of the Penal Code. At the same time, all suspects have been remanded for 4 days until Thursday (30 October) to assist in police investigations,” he explained.

A video of the fight has since been shared on the r/Malaysia subreddit on Reddit, where a group of men were seen arguing before one of them overturned a motorcycle parked outside of the restaurant.

The argument quickly turned violent as the group punched and kicked at each other, and threw chairs and tables belonging to the restaurant.

Customers who were eating at the restaurant attempted to break up the fight, which led to more items being damaged.
