This pandemic has turned extroverts into introverts and introverts into people with social anxiety. The pandemic has also turned many people to online retail therapy.

No friend? Then buy a friend.

Introducing the latest product on Shopee that has gone viral…  A FRIEND to chat with.

On 4 December, a tweet by netizen Baqir went viral for sharing a service offered on the e-commerce website, Shopee. That service allows people to talk to the seller who will lend an ear to all your problems for only RM1.00! Wow, what a deal!

So, of course we paid RM1 to have a chat!

We tried to look for that seller that was in Baqir’s tweet but we were unable to find them. So, we looked for the next listing with the best reviews (Always check the reviews! This is rule #1 when you’re shopping online!) and stumbled upon Lady Myerza.

There were eight reviews on the listing and all of them were five stars. Seeing that, we instantly pressed “Buy Now“. It comes with free shipping too, whad’ya know!

Lady was very prompt in her replies and she has a way of making you feel good with her words. She said that she had chatted with more than 13 people now in just a span of eight days.

Most of them typically tell her about their problems that they cannot tell the others in their life as they do not want to burden them or to be judged in any way. Lucky for them, Lady is there to save the day with only a fee of RM1.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Lady said that even though she is not a professional, she hopes to help those who are going through difficult times as she knows how hard that can get.

“I want to help people to remember that they should appreciate and love themselves for all that they have been through.”

We ended our session by talking about life in general. It was a fruitful discussion and I felt like my RM1 was very well spent!

This is certainly a small fee to pay if you’re looking for a ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on. We would also like to commend these sellers for being creative in offering their services!
