A glimpse of an armored vehicle belonging to the Special Action Unit (UTK), Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) at the parking lot of the World Trade Center in Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) on Saturday night (August 27) raised many questions among the people.

It is understood that the armored car was used by one of the top leaders of United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), to attend their Supreme Working Council (MKT) meeting.

Based on a report by Kosmo, it is unsure as to who exactly was using the vehicle and what the actual purpose was, for the armored car to be there.

This incident had previously gone viral online, as the armored vehicle was seen at the car park of WTCKL, while being escorted by several security personnel.

Netizens have since taken to social media to question the usage (or misuse) of the vehicle.

“Standby vehicle for emergencies. UTK is for the care of the Prime Minister and ministers only. Depending on UTK’s assessments, whether the situation faced by the Prime Minister is risky or not. It has nothing to do with political parties.”

Vehicle 2

“Using government assets for (political) party purposes. Does this count as misuse of government assets?”

Vehicle 3

“Using the rights of the government for personal gain. Is it fair for a leader to be like this?”

Stay tuned for more updates.
