Back in September of last year (2023), Namewee was taken to court over his YouTube video blasting the concert organiser, Star Planet, and their managing director, Datuk Alan Foo, after his 4896 Final Call World Tour in 2019 at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur was cancelled.

A month ago, it was finally revealed that Star Planet had won the defamation suit, with Namewee having to pay them compensation and publicly apologise.

In true Namewee fashion, he just released a hilarious apology video on his Facebook page, where he apparently looked to be fake crying.

In the video, he shared, “I hereby apologise, unequivocally and unreservedly, to the plaintiffs, Datuk Foo Ming Lam and Star Planet Sdn Bhd, for the video published by me on December 14, 2019, and December 21, 2019. And (I) hereby state that the statements made in those videos are wrong and should not have been published by me.”

He then stops and looks at the camera as he starts to sniffle and cry.

“I retract all statements made against them in any form and shall not make similar statements against them in the future,” he said ‘tearfully’ before bowing at the camera while adding a “Sorry”.

He proceeded to reach his hand out to the camera while continuing to ‘cry’. He also then whispered a last “Sorry”.
