With the Monsoon season and floods currently raging on in various states across Malaysia, people are being faced with all kinds of situations.

One of those situations is facing wild animals in the flood waters.

The 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians Facebook page took to their profile to showcase a video taken from a canoe somewhere in the floods of Malaysia. People have since condemned those in the canoe as they attracted the attention of a wild boar swimming in the flood waters, only to shoo it away and laugh at it.

In the video, one of the boys in the canoe can be seen making loud noises and smacking their paddle on the water as a wild boar swims their way. The moment the wild boar was close enough, the boy then hit it on the head with his paddle, causing the wild boar to swim away.

The boys were also laughing throughout the entire situation.

People have since condemned them for acting cruelly towards the wild boars.

“Why must they beat and laugh at the animal? Just leave it be. Shame on you.”

Boar 6

“Why are these guys barking like dogs? When they can just keep quiet and leave the area?”

Many also pointed out that there is a possibility that the wild boar was attacking the canoe and the boys were just trying to defend themselves. But, as mentioned in the above comment, if they were scared they could have just rowed away.

Plus, they weren’t exactly shouting in fear for their lives, they were laughing.
