Starting today (1 October, 2026), the Ministry of Health (MOH) is fully subsidising delivery charges for the Ubat Melalui Pos (Postal Service for Medicines) for eligible Malaysian citizens.
This initiative, according to Public Health Malaysia on Facebook, allows patients to receive specific follow-up medication supplies directly to their home addresses without any delivery costs.

For patients who currently have to travel back and forth every month just to collect their medication supply, this small change can save a great deal of time and energy.
Public advised to protect personal information
However, this service is subject to the type of medication, prescription requirements, and patient suitability, meaning not all medications qualify for automatic postal delivery.
Applications for the service can be made through official channels such as the MyUBAT application or via relevant MOH pharmacy counters.

In light of this new announcement, authorities and health advocates have reminded the public to remain vigilant against online scams.
Users are advised to stay vigilant and avoid falling for fake advertisements on social media platforms such as Facebook and TikTok that promote free medicine delivery through suspicious registration links. To stay safe, users should take note of the following precautions:
-
Do not click on links from unauthorized sources.
-
Do not disclose personal information, identification numbers, or bank card numbers.
-
Do not share TAC or OTP numbers with any parties.

The public is strongly encouraged to always refer to official MOH channels or use the MyUBAT application (available on IOS and Google Play) to prevent falling victim to fraud while ensuring personal data remains secure.
