When it comes to iconic fast food chains, McDonald’s has to be one of the most iconic and well known in the world. The chain is known for its burgers and fries and even its memorabilia!

The love for McDonald’s memorabilia has led to one super fan establishing their very own museum in Alor Setar, Kedah.

Twitter user Neyra recently shared her experience of visiting the museum.

She explained that a collector of McDonald’s items had started an museum in a shop lot in Alor Setar. “All the McD things were collected from his father’s time till now,” she stated.

“First McD uniform in Malaysia, first Happy Meals in Malaysia, packaging, sauce, (they have) everything.”

The owner had reportedly spend several years collecting various merch and various items from McDonald’s with some even being handed down to them by their father.

Neyra showed off past menus, promotional boards and posters as well as photos of the vast collection of toys which the owner had after years of accumulating them.

She added that the shop is located in Pekan Pumpong and it currently costs RM10 (per adult) to visit. It’s open every day from 10am to 7pm.

“The owner said that (locals) rarely visit. Not many know about the place. Those who do visit are from far away. Come support,” urged Neyra.

Made netizens feel nostalgic

Neyra’s photos of the huge range of merchandise on show at the museum proved to be a trip down memory lane for many Malaysians. Some even expressed their excitement at visiting the store.

“So nostalgic. Reminds me of when we were kids. When we used to have McD’s toys… now all of the toys are gone,” commented one user.

Another user shared an image of one of the toys and said that they also owned that toy before.

“When I look at toy collections like this, it reminds me of when I was younger during the 90s. Only the rich were able to eat there and collect toys. People who had it tough like me could only admire the toys of others. Nostalgic,” said a user.
