A Malaysian woman was left in a horrific situation after her boyfriend left her to deliver twin babies on her own and told her to throw their surviving baby away.

Philanthropist Kuan Chee Heng, aka Uncle Kentang, took to his Facebook page to share the 34-year-old woman’s story, as he took her and her baby (unfortunately, one twin didn’t survive the birth) under his care.

A woman who gave birth to twins alone loses a newborn during labour, her boyfriend tells her to throw away the surviving baby

He wrote, “What a useless man! She was enduring labour pains. She went home and delivered her babies herself. Twins. One died, one was premature. The girl had died while the boy survived,”

“She called her boyfriend, who was working at a phone shop. The boyfriend asked her to throw the baby away. She slowly put down her phone, and her world turned black.”

Uncle Kentang to the rescue

Uncle Kentang went on to share how the woman’s premature baby was placed at the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) of the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM), but she didn’t have money to pay the hospital charges.

He used his post to raise funds for the baby’s hospital fees as well as nanny fees so that the woman could continue to work as an e-hailing driver to earn a livelihood.

“If you wish to help, call me at 018-2683999. I can pass you the woman’s number. The baby is reaching 2kgs now and is healthy,” he added.

In another post, he also highlighted that the woman and her baby have been provided with free confinement services by a kind samaritan.
