A child’s admiration towards something is arguably one of the most precious things one can receive in this lifetime, due to the fact that it is, without a doubt, sincere in every way.

One TikTok clip by a Malaysian mother who goes by Kak Dee has been making waves on her account @deechanteq after she caught a moment of her one-year-old son, Aqil, walking around a Malaysian army base camp, excited to see the soldiers around him.

In awe by the men, Aqil approaches multiple soldiers with caution. One solider, who walked by Aqil, even waved at the little boy as he headed to his duty. Another tried to hold Aqil’s hand, though he refused and kept on walking independently.

At one point, one soldier cheekily called Aqil a Commander, to which the little boy smiled before approaching his mother.

Decked out in the full army uniform, Aqil’s outfit was spot on. Wearing a green beret and black fingerless gloves, the toddler also had on black shoes and the military camouflage uniform that had his name on it.

Receiving some of the best compliments, many Malaysian users light-heartedly asked Kak Dee what rank Aqil is in the army, with another user wondering why he wasn’t marching yet.

“I can’t wait to have a kid! I’ll be putting him in the same army uniform,” joked another user.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Kak Dee stated that Aqil had been interested in the army and soldiers since he was as young as three months old.

“His father is a Commander in the Malaysian Army, so he’d always see him in his uniform and also liked it. He understood that when one wears the uniform, you have to look neat and not take off your beret,” said Kak Dee to WORLD OF BUZZ.

Explaining further, Kak Dee said that the video was taken at the Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM) base in Subang, where they were dropping off his uncle, who is part of the squad of the location.

And while Kak Dee said that it is her husband’s hope that Aqil follows in his footsteps one day, his happiness and budding interest in the force is something they will cherish in this moment of time.
