If you’ve ever been to a bowling alley, you’ve probably wondered at least once how the pins are magically picked up and arranged neatly after you swing every shot. Well, consider that query answered!

Malaysian technician and TikTok creator Syafiq recently shared a video showing just how the pins are stacked on his account @mhysyfq. Giving the public a peek behind the metaphorical curtain, Syafiq added that the video was taken at the Klang Bowling in Harbour Place Mall.

In the video, Syafiq can be seen walking across big machines that are operating automatically to fill pins into designated spaces for each bowling lane. Precise and smooth, every pin moves into each spot with the contraption moving its arms methodically.

At one point, a bowling ball, presumably used in a previous round, can be seen getting rolled under the floorboards and back to the bowling rack at the front of the lane.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Syafiq mentioned that his purpose for creating the video was to show members of the public what things really look like when prepping a bowling lane. As a technician at the bowling alley, Syafiq added that his role includes overseeing the machines so that the pins are stacked correctly and accordingly.

Amazed by the video, many Malaysians expressed how they can finally put the mystery of how bowling alleys work to rest, with one user saying that she’s always wondered how the contraption works.

“No wonder when I was playing earlier I saw feet walking across each lane at the back. It all makes sense now!” penned one user.

Another user also relayed an instance he faced in the past, where the pins would not fall when he threw his ball down the alley to hit it. Responding to the comment, Syafiq stated that glitches may occur sometimes, which are bound to happen every now and then at bowling alleys. He advised the user to inform a staff member of the issue if it were to happen in the future.
