Time and time again, we’ve heard stories about nightmare passengers on e-hailing rides, including some who are willing to jump out of cars to prevent making payments for their journeys.

Well, it’s time for a refreshing change.

A Grab and taxi driver, PCIK AZIM, took to his TikTok account to recall his best passengers for the year 2023, and they were by chance also his last passengers for 2023. He shared how 2 Indian teenage siblings, aged 17 and 19, had gone above and beyond to leave his car clean and spotless throughout their journey AND upon arriving at their destination.

In his video, he shared how he had picked up the siblings at an apartment in Bandar Seri Putra, who were heading to a school at Jalan Reko, Kajang.

After waiting for 5 minutes at the apartment’s guardhouse, he saw 2 teenage Indian boys running towards his car and getting in. They asked him if the payment for the journey had already been made via GrabPay, as the booking was made by their boss and they were heading for a job.

PCIK AZIM told them that their boss had booked a ‘Cash’ ride, to which they responded they did not have cash on them. One of the siblings then requested for him to take them to a nearby bank so that he could withdraw money to pay for the ride, to which PCIK AZIM obliged.

When they arrived at the bank, one of the siblings went in and came back in about 3 minutes after withdrawing money, and here’s where these 2 passengers started becoming the best passengers for PCIK AZIM in 2023.

“When he came back, do you know what he did?”

“He sat his butt down first and then he tapped his feet together (to shake off sand and dirt from his shoes). I just watched as he tapped his feet together and then he lifted his legs into the car. In my heart I was telling myself, I’ve never encountered passengers like this. Never have I met passengers who I’ve picked up, who have done what he did,” he said.

But wait, that’s not all.

They then left the bank to head to their destination, which was a Tamil school at Jalan Reko, Kajang. On their way there, PCIK AZIM chitchatted with the boys and found out that they were heading to do a wiring and tiling job.

When they arrived at their destination, the siblings paid for their journey and when they got down from the car, they also took out the car’s carpets.

“I asked them, I said, ‘brother, why are you taking it out?‘. He said, ‘It’s okay, brother, it’s okay. I want to get rid of the sand. We brought a bit of sand into your car, I want to clean it up.‘. Fuhhh, I couldn’t say anything, guys. I couldn’t say anything with these 2 Indian siblings.”

“You see, these are the passengers that I got to end 2023 with, who are brilliant, glorious and distinguished. They treated my car, my taxi, like it’s their own vehicle until they can sit butt first and tap their feet to get rid of sand and when they wanted to depart, they were taking my carpets out to get rid of sand,” he said.

PCIK AZIM went on to praise the 2 boys and how they were brought up by their parents, and wished them immense success in their dreams and endeavors.

He also managed to track the boys down and made a video with them!
