Hiring a live-in maid requires high levels of trust as you’re essentially allowing a stranger into your home where they have access to yourself, your loved ones and your belongings.

And while some maids have caused trouble by stealing valuables and running away, others have allegedly caused dangerous situations like allowing strangers into their employers’ homes.

Malaysian celebrity doctor, Dr Shazril Shaharuddin, recently took to his Instagram Stories to showcase footage of his 2 maids allowing 2 men (who are strangers to him and his family) into his home while he and his wife were upstairs yesterday (July 29) at 9:25pm.

“My maids, 2 of them, brought 2 men to my house while my wife and I were upstairs at 9:25 at night. B*bi. This is the first time I’m swearing. Me and my wife are at home and they can bring men into my house,” he said.

Along with his Instagram Stories on the matter, he shared CCTV footage of the incident.

Initially, the CCTV was pointing towards his living room, where his 2 maids were with his youngest child, a baby.

The view of the CCTV was blocked by a water bottle, but one of the maids then moved the CCTV to point away from the living room, towards his TV.

Despite this, the maid’s actions could still be seen in the reflection of the TV and Dr Shazril managed to notice the maids bringing 2 men into his home through the reflection.

His baby is with them!

Upon finding out that the 2 men had entered his home, Dr Shazril called the police and had them waiting outside his house on standby while he attempted to call one of the maids to head upstairs to pass his baby to him.

He did this because he was worried that the maids and the men would hold his baby hostage upon seeing police officers.

Considering the maids did not pick up his phone calls, the police were forced to raid his house while his baby was still with them.

The police entered his house, knocked on the maids’ room door and had to wait a little while before the maids actually opened the door while the baby was in the room with them.

Thankfully, Dr Shazril managed to take his baby from them, though the 2 men who had entered his house were nowhere to be seen.

Dr Shazril has since contacted the maids’ agency to pick them up and will later share an update on everything that happened including how he realised there were strangers in his home, what made him check the CCTV and what he had learned from this experience.

Stay tuned for more updates!
