The Ministry of Health has identified 11 red zone areas in Malaysia. These places are reported to have 41 cases and above which classifies them as red zone areas, while those with 20 to 40 cases are classified as orange zones.

Those living in these areas are strongly advised to increase preventive measures, especially staying at home and avoiding large crowds.

Here are the red zone areas:

  • Lembah Pantai – 167 cases
  • Petaling Jaya – 167 cases
  • Hulu Langat – 132 cases
  • Seremban – 78 cases
  • Johor Bahru – 68 cases
  • Kluang – 54 cases
  • Gombak – 53 cases
  • Titiwangsa – 49 cases
  • Kota Bahru – 48 cases
  • Hilir Perak – 48 cases
  • Kinta – 41 cases

On top of the 11 red zones, seven areas have been identified as orange zones, according to Health Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah.

  • Kepong – 38
  • Klang – 35
  • Batu Pahat – 29
  • Kuala Muda – 28
  • Seberang Perai – 23
  • Timur Laut – 20
  • Rembau – 20

For those living in these areas, please be extra careful and go out only when you really need to.Ā
