The good karma keeps rolling in this Ramadan as a Shell station operator who had planned on donating his family’s clothes ended up running an entire clothes donation drive right from his petrol station.

Anyone who unfortunately cannot afford a change of clothes can head over to the Shell station located at Jalan Mohd Zin Batu Berendam in Melaka as the station’s operator, Zulkifly Jantan, has cordoned off a small section of the station as a makeshift stall where the needy can try on clothes and take them home for free.

Originally set up to distribute clothes donated by Zulkifly’s family, patrons of the station caught on and starting bringing along clothes to be added to the collection, causing the donation drive to become bigger than intended.

Zulkifly told Astro Awani that there is quite a range of clothing with sizes for both adults and children. The clothing donated by the patrons are in good condition as well, and some are even branded.

He started this initiative at his station during Ramadan 2 years ago but has seen a significant rise in donated clothes this year in particular. He also added that he’ll be there to help as long as there are still clothes on the racks.

He plans on continuing his tradition as he sees it as a rewarding act that benefits the community.

Zulkifly definitely deserves all the praise he gets! Hopefully, he’ll be able to continue providing for the needy for a long time with this stall.
