You may lose yourself big bucks if you attend the show of your favorite performers but the unforgettable experience somehow makes it worthwhile. What happens when you spend a fortune BUT end up going home disappointed?

A concertgoer in Shenzhen, China, who attended a performance back in July was not entirely happy with his experience at the concert for Mayday, a popular Taiwanese band. While he was there to listen to Mayday, the man unexpectedly “paid” for another excited “singer” who was right next to him. On his Douyin account @路航来了, the man shared what it was like to listen to Mayday on the stage and another singer right next to him whose voice “overpowered” the band of singers.

“I paid RMB3000 (approximately RM1,900) for this show, and I had to listen to the girl beside me sing for 3 hours.”

When you watch the video below, Mayday’s fading voice can be heard in the background but we cannot deny how loud the girl next to the man was. In the clip, the man looked straight into the camera and hinted to the audience that he accepted his fate of having to listen to Mayday and another unexpected singer.

Double-feature!

To be fair, we understand the girl’s excitement but at the same time, we can’t imagine being in his shoes. Netizens, on the other hand, reacted with funny comments to his experience, saying he was lucky for getting a “double feature”.

“She was there to sing for you and good thing you heard it.”

“She was really there for the show. It was fully immersive for her spiritually.”

“We paid RMB3000 for 1 show, but you got 2 shows.”

“It’s Mayday, we should sing our hearts out! If I’m there, my purpose is to fill everyone’s phones with my voice!”

“If you can’t fight her, join her and see who sings the loudest.”

You can watch the viral clip below and see if you can relate to his experience, but don’t get mad at the excited lady next to him!

Dear concertgoers, do you think you’re the guy, or are you the excited lady?
