Taking to X, a CCTV owner recently shared footage of a botched arson attempt at his home in Bukit Katil, Melaka.
In the video, a man carrying what appears to be petrol arrives on his motorbike and pours the contents of a bottle onto two cars parked in the porch of the owner’s home.
After dousing the vehicles, he sets them ablaze only for the fire to spread to his own motorbike, forcing him to flee the scene.
Netizens mocked the suspect and slammed him for the failed sabotage attempt.
“Ahh. Arsonist, day one.”
One user said, “Who told you to skip school? See how stupid you’ve become.”
Another commented, “Is this one of those Along incidents?”
An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
