Following an on-scene investigation by the police, the authorities said the lorry driver was fully responsible for the accident. Unbeknownst to the lorry driver, who was in shock, he was about to be in for a much bigger surprise.

He didn’t need to pay anything!

The lady remained calm the entire time and told the lorry driver that he didn’t have to pay for anything. She simply took out her phone to take pictures of the scene and the condition of her Rolls Royce.

“If I can’t change what has happened, I’ll just accept the fact that it happened,” the woman casually remarked.

In her Douyin post @朱根菜, the woman shared the intention behind her generosity, and why she refused to claim the lorry driver’s insurance.

According to her, the lorry driver had purchased an insurance of RMB1 million (approximately RM610,000). Based on the damages to her Rolls Royce, the accessories that need to be changed, as well as the labour fee, she knew very well that the insurance would not be enough to cover the repair fee.

So, she let it go and told the lorry driver, “It’s okay, you don’t have to pay anything”

“He makes a living with his lorry, and I know it’s not easy to support his family. As long as he is fine, I am okay with it,” the woman said in her Douyin video.

However, the driver has yet to disclose the total cost needed to repair the damages caused by the accident as she is still waiting for feedback and response from the relevant parties.

What do you think of the woman’s actions? Would you do the same if you owned a luxury car?
