KKM Update: 354 Positive New Cases, 188 Discharged & Unfortunately, Six Deaths Reported Today (9 Oct)

Based on today’s Covid-19 update from the Ministry of Health Malaysia, there are 354 new cases as of today (9 October), bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 14,722. From those numbers, a total of 10,707 patients have recovered and been discharged, including today’s 188 patients.

Unfortunately, there are six reported deaths today, bringing the number of casualties at 152.

Out of the 354 new cases today, 274 are in Sabah, 24 are in Selangor, 10 are in Kedah, Sarawak and Kuala Lumpur respectively. Other states and locations recorded cases lower than 10.

There’s been an alarming increase in the number of positive cases of late. This means that we should tread lightly, be more careful and adhere to the standard operating procedures set in place.
