KKM: 375 New Positive Covid-19 Cases, 18 Discharged and 5 Deaths As Of 8 October
Based on today’s Covid-19 update from the Ministry of Health Malaysia, there are 375 new cases as of today (8 October), bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 14,368. From those numbers, a total of 10,519 patients have recovered and been discharged, including today’s 18 patients.

Unfortunately, there are five reported deaths today, bringing the number of casualties at 146.
Out of the 375 new cases today, 271 are in Sabah, 36 are in Selangor, 16 are in Kedah, 12 are in Kuala Lumpur and 10 are in Labuan. Other states and locations recorded cases lower than 10.
There’s been an alarming increase in the number of positive cases of late. This means that we should tread lightly, be more careful and adhere to the standard operating procedures set in place.
