The chairman of Pakatan Harapan, Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim has officially won the Tambun parliamentary seat, thus defeating Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu of Perikatan Nasional (PN).
Anwar secured his seat in Tambun with a whopping 32,026 votes, while Ahmad pulled in 26,698 votes. In the meantime, Barisan Nasional candidate Datuk Aminuddin Md Hanafiah garnered 16,275 votes and Parti Pejuang Tanah Air’s Abdul Rahim Tahir got 656 votes, as reported by New Straits Times.
