A recent video has caught the attention of the Road Transport Department (JPJ), which warned that action will be taken against the individuals involved.

The video in question has been reshared across social media, showing a couple in a moving car, with the woman seen behaving “affectionately” while leaning against the car’s dashboard without her seatbelt on.

JPJ opens investigation

In the video, the man can be seen driving while the woman faces him, and he playfully pinches her nose, which drew criticism from netizens over safety concerns.

JPJ Senior Enforcement Director Datuk Muhammad Kifli Ma Hassan said the department is currently investigating the incident.

“JPJ will take action against a man who was seen driving a car while a female passenger was not wearing a seatbelt and was sitting facing him, after the incident went viral on social media,” as quoted by Harian Metro.

Muhammad Kifli added that action will be taken against both the driver and the passenger, with summonses to be issued.

“The investigation is still ongoing, and summonses will be issued once it is completed,” he said.
