Update: Aini’s mum has been found! Thank you so much to everyone who assisted in reuniting her with her mother.

Every now and again, social media manages to pull off miracles and reunite families. That’s exactly what this Malaysian hopes Twitter will do now.

Aini (@the__yooniks) shared that her mother had gone missing in Segamat, Johor, and hasn’t been contactable for 3 days now.

She wrote, “With the power of Twitter, I hope everyone can help me find my mum, who for 3 days I haven’t been able to contact. Her last location was in Segamat, Johor. I hope everyone will retweet and help me, I am very worried.”

“Please, anyone who sees my mum, please inform me because I’m scared something bad has happened to her, and I have already made a police report but they’re very slow.”

Please do keep an eye out for Aini’s mum and if you do see her anywhere, do reach out to Aini to let her know. Aini is worried sick.

Social media has always had the power to reunite family members. Let’s hope that the power works once more.

Hang in there, Aini, Twitter is working its magic.
