A 16-year-old girl quietly left home in Taiping, Perak, on the morning of May 26 (Monday) after leaving a note for her family informing them not to worry about her.

She has been missing since, and her family has not heard from her.

According to a report by China Press, the girl’s father has contacted the police for help to locate his daughter and held a press conference to seek the public’s assistance in finding out his daughter’s whereabouts.

Run Away 1

The girl, Wu Peishan (transliteration), is the youngest of 4 children and had dropped out of school. After working for some time, she quit her job and stayed home.

Her father explained that she has a quiet personality and seldom socialised, hence she did not have many friends and had no issues with her family as she would often talk and laugh with them.

He further added that she had allegedly made a male friend while working at a clothing store, and that the male friend had apparently picked her up at the workplace often.

“I’m not against my daughter making friends, I just want to remind her not to trust her friends too much,” he said.

Run Away 2

Her father had gone to Kuala Lumpur on May 25 (Sunday) for work purposes, and when he left home, he felt that his daughter was in a normal state.

“Then, unexpectedly, the next morning (May 26, Monday), I received a call from my eldest daughter informing me that Peishan had run away from home,” he added.

A note

Peishan left a note for her family informing them of her decision to leave.

The note read, “To my family, please forgive me, I can’t stay at home anymore. I feel stressed. What I did was wrong, please don’t worry about me, I want to calm down. I know how to take care of myself. I can’t stand staying at home anymore. I hope everyone takes care of their health. One day, when I succeed, I will come back.”

If you see her, please contact her family

Peishan’s father can be contacted at 014-9145083.

“The family has been asking around for Peishan’s whereabouts, but there is no news. Her phone has been turned off, and she is unreachable. She has been missing for more than 2 weeks, which makes the family very worried,” he said.

We hope that Peishan will be found safe and sound soon.
