“I just want to say goodbye” Form 1 Student in KL Falls to Her Death From 8th Floor of School Building

“I love you all, I just want to say goodbye.”

These were the last words of a Form 1 female student from Kuen Cheng Secondary School who posted a live farewell video on social media moments before jumping off the 8th floor of the school.

In the video, the student, who spoke entirely in English expressed her gratitude and said she was grateful for her friends who had always been there for her.

As per the report from China Press, the incident occurred at around 6 PM yesterday (October 1) on the 8th floor of the teaching building of the school. Unfortunately, the student suffered from serious injury and was pronounced dead by the medical team.

It is also reported that the student was cheerful and lively, and she was even talking & laughing with her peers in the class before the incident.

The management of the school has released an official statement via its website and confirmed the death of the student. The school also said counsellors will continue to provide psychological support and emotional counselling to other students who are affected by the matter.

On the other hand, Brickfields district Chief Police, ACP Ku Mashariman bin Ku Mahmood confirmed that the police received a report about the matter from the school, and the body of the student has been sent to the morgue for post-mortem.

At the time being, PDRM is investigating the matter as a case of sudden death.

The management of the school also urged the public NOT to spread unverified news as the police investigate the matter.
