On October 9, 3 UiTM Dungun students tragically lost their lives, and another was seriously injured after being hit by a woman driving an SUV.

Following the incident, the Kuala Terengganu magistrate’s court granted a remand order yesterday for the suspect, who is also believed to be mentally ill.

“First was my son, and now my youngest”

Jamaludin, the dad of the late Khairil Anwar, spoke to Harian Metro and shared his deep grief, not only over the loss of Khairil but also of another son who tragically passed away in an accident.

The 53-year-old explained that his eldest son, Khairul Izzudin, also passed away 7 years ago in a road accident in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan.

“My eldest son was called back to God on October 3, 2017, and now my youngest on October 9. Even the time of the incidents is almost the same,” he added.

Both his sons died in the month of October

Jamaludin explained how he and his wife, Norma Mohammed Nor, 52, came to Dungun on October 4 and returned to their home in Ampang on October 6.

He went on to express his sorrow, saying he never expected to face such a tragedy a 2nd time, noting that both of his late sons had passed away in the same month.

Harian Metro also reported that Khairil Anwar’s body will be buried at the Ukay Perdana Islamic Cemetery near Ampang.
