It’s not a huge surprise to see international stars celebrating CNY here in Malaysia, especially if they have family or relatives that reside here.

In case you missed it, veteran Hong Kong actor and singer, Andy Lau was recently spotted in Kepong, KL during the festive season, and he was not alone. He was spotted with Malaysian tycoon and philanthropist, Tan Sri Vincent Tan at the Kuala Lumpur Tzu-Chi Jing Si Hall in Kepong.

Andy Lau is married to fellow Malaysian model, Carol Chu since 2008 and the actor has been visiting Malaysia almost every year since then during CNY to spend time with his wife. This time, in an image submitted by the public to China Press, Andy Lau is seen in a grey coat and blue jeans, while Tan Sri Vincent Tan, who was just beside the actor was seen in a dark blue shirt and white pants.

Although Andy was wearing a face mask, it wasn’t that hard for the public to recognise him. His wife, Carol was also seen beside him.

In the meantime, Oriental Daily reported that Andy’s trip this time (probably the other times as well) was very low-key, so much so that the people in Tzu-Chi Jing Si Hall were urged NOT to share his pictures online. Despite his attempt to be low-key, his pictures eventually circulated online.

Back in 2021, Andy Lau revealed that he returned to Malaysia temporarily in 2020, but then the Covid-19 pandemic struck, forcing him to stay longer in Malaysia. He could only return to Hong Kong 4 months later.

Regardless, we truly hope Andy Lau will enjoy his time here in Malaysia! Fellow KL folks, have you managed to spot Andy Lau recently?
