A 22-year-old university student lost her life after falling from the 22nd floor of a condominium in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, and her father claimed that his daughter’s death was caused by bullies.

The man, Jeff Ho, said that his deceased daughter used to tell her siblings about her unhappy experience at the university, where she was mentally and verbally bullied by three female peers, who also isolated her before her death.

The fatal fall occurred around 6:30 AM yesterday (August 20), and Jeff was informed about the heartbreaking news around 8:45 AM by the management of the building before rushing there. Jeff also said that his daughter was not in a good mood before her fall, and her 23-year-old boyfriend went to the condo to spend time with her.

The boyfriend woke up around 7 AM after the security personnel knocked on the door and delivered the bad news.

Last week, the deceased attempted to take her own life but was rescued by the security guard when she tried to jump from the condo. Following the rescue, she returned home to recuperate and heal.

“I can’t see her graduate.”

In reports by Sin Chew and Sinar Harian, Jeff said that her daughter was in her 3rd year of Public Relations studies, and she was expected to graduate by the end of this year. Unfortunately, Jeff expressed that he no longer has the chance to see her daughter in the graduation outfit, walking up the stage.

“She had been doing a project work with her peers, who possibly isolated her, and accused her of not doing a good job.”

“She was also criticised by them, which accumulated a lot of pressure over time.”

Jeff also shared that her daughter was a cheerful person and was someone who valued friendship, and found a suicide note in her mobile phone, expressing that she couldn’t bear the pressure, and apologised to her family.

The deceased’s body has been sent to the Kuala Lumpur hospital for a post-mortem.
