Remember when everyone’s Instagram feed consisted of the duck face, as if they were slurping on invisible spaghetti mid-way posing for a selfie?

Well, there’s a new pose to welcome and you’ll be seeing a lot of it eventually.

This pose is a more flattering and cooler replacement for the worn-out duck face pose and it’s called the “fish gape”.

Hollywood has been jumping onboard the fish gape boat.

Though the fish isn’t exactly a photogenic source of inspiration, the pose is surprisingly quite flattering. It actually gives that kinda supermodel look (one can dream can’t she?) hence the fish gaping is done left, right and centre. Models and actresses alike are starting to favour the pose that requires one to pose with their mouth slightly open, lips pursed just a teensy bit, and the face relaxed.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will be our study into fish-gaping.

She looks pretty good here, posing in the over-done duck face pose. But hold up.

She does look better and hotter here no? Take note of that subtle chin tilt that seems to have done photogenic wonders.

All it takes is some practice guys, and you’ll soon be dropping some poses worthy of a Victoria Secret model just like Rosie herself.

Smize for the camera guys! Will we be seeing this pose in Malaysian shores soon?
