It’s no secret that us Malaysians have gotten very used to and heavily rely on e-hailing services in our everyday routines.
With that being said, it would definitely help to have more options such as a NEW e-hailing service that might be on their way to our shores!
It appears that there’s a very high possibility that Bolt, an e-hailing service from Estonia, is coming to Malaysia after they published a job advertisement on LinkedIn for a Country Manager for Malaysia.
They wrote, “We are looking for a Country Manager in Malaysia to lead and launch our ride-hailing business.”
“This strategic role will be the interface between our business and the key country stakeholders (i.e. regulators, government officials, local communities and more). You will be working closely with the local operations team, Regional manager, HQ teams (i.e. growth analytics, expansion, global operations, marketing, product, regulatory, CS).”
They further added that the Country Manager must “Bring Bolt to Malaysia and ensure that everything is ready for a successful launch, lead the financial and strategic planning process and be responsible for its implementation”.
So, should the role be filled, that would mean that Bolt will be touching down in Malaysia soon after!
Bolt had previously dubbed themselves as Europe’s first ‘super-app’, thanks to expanding range of customer and transportation services.
Their services include e-hailing rides, food and grocery delivery, car-sharing (rental), micromobility (2-wheel rides such as scooters) rental and more.
