An audio provided to CNN hears US President, Donald J Trump allegedly threatening to “bomb the sh*t” out of Russia should the latter attack Ukraine.

The audio was shared by CNN, where Donald Trump was heard telling a private gathering of donors in 2024 that he wanted to stop the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, from invading Ukraine.

“With Putin I said, if you go into Ukraine, I’m going to bomb the sh*t out of Moscow. I’m telling you I have no choice.”

“And then Putin goes, like, ‘I don’t believe you.’ But he believed me 10%.”

In the conversation that took place behind closed doors, Trump said that he had conveyed a similar bomb threat to China if the latter decided to invade Taiwan. The US President threatened to bomb Beijing, and President Xi Jinping allegedly said Trump was crazy.

In the same report by CNN, the Trump campaign was said to have declined to comment on the audio.

During a cabinet meeting on Wednesday (July 9), Trump vented his frustrations at the lack of commitment from his Russian counterpart to engage in a serious peace process.

“We get a lot of bullshit thrown at us by Putin, if you want to know the truth.”

“He’s very nice all of the time, but it turns out to be meaningless. I’m unhappy with Putin, very unhappy.”

While China has yet to respond to Trump’s bomb threat, the Russian government said it could not confirm or deny the threat.

According to Reuters, the Russian government said that it could not confirm the authenticity of the audio, and Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he didn’t know if the audio was real or fake.

“Whether it is fake or not, we do not know either. There is a lot of fake news these days.”
