A nasi kandar restaurant in Seremban is under fire after being accused of washing leftovers left by customers and allegedly serving them the following day.

According to videos shared by the UpdateInfo X page and a report by Sinar Harian, the shocking incident was exposed by a witness who claimed to have seen a staff member washing food behind the premises at 12:18 AM on Tuesday (3 February).

A patron claims the eatery washes leftovers to be reused the next day

“I saw a worker washing leftover food, such as chicken, mutton, and tofu—which was clearly unconsumed—before separating it into trays,” the witness said.

They further claimed to have confronted the worker, who allegedly confirmed that the food was being washed to be reused.

“At first, another employee tried to mislead me with dishonest answers, but eventually admitted that the food would indeed be recooked, claiming it was ‘safe’. I want to emphasise that this act is completely unethical, unsafe, and disgusting,” the witness added.

The Negeri Sembilan Health Department will investigate the allegations

The witness expressed hope that authorities would take strict action, believing this is not the first time such an incident has occurred at the premises.

Upon being alerted to the viral clips, Negeri Sembilan Health Department Director Dr Zuraida Mohamed stated that she would instruct officers to investigate the allegations immediately.
