It is always unfortunate when an argument or fight between a couple happens in a public setting, especially if the fight turns into an abusive situation. (Though, thankfully, there are many platforms for people in abusive relationships to seek help in Malaysia.)

But one couple’s fight is now going viral on social media, especially after the girlfriend (who is allegedly pregnant) has decided not to press charges against her boyfriend who acted violently against her.

Netizen, Dibs, took to his Twitter page to showcase a video of the couple’s fight at a poolside at a Sunway condominium. After arguing with his girlfriend, the boyfriend decided to violently grab her by the hair and drag her into the pool, where he then appeared to have attempted to push her head under the water.

In the video, the girlfriend managed to free herself from her boyfriend’s grasp and the footage ended as she went on to argue with him in the pool.

According to a report by Kosmo, Subang Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat shared that the 19-year-old girlfriend later filed a police report but refused to proceed with pressing charges as she does not want anything to happen to her boyfriend.

“The victim did not suffer any injuries and did not want to seek treatment. The woman involved also does not want to continue the case because she doesn’t want any action to be taken against her boyfriend,” he said.
