Only due to vomiting on a sofa, a 3-year-old boy who was sick was believed to have been beaten to death by his mother’s lover in a house in Cheng, Melaka.

According to a report by Astro Awani, Melaka Tengah District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Christopher Patit shared that the man involved admitted to aggressively kicking and pressing on the victim’s stomach several times.

“As a result of his actions, the victim’s skull and internal organs were broken,” he said.

Following the incident, the man and the boy’s mother were arrested and remanded for 7 days at the Ayer Keroh Magistrate’s Court, to assist with investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder and Section 31 (1)(a) of the Children Act 2001.

Additionally, Christopher explained that the couple was arrested while sending the boy to the Melaka Hospital to receive treatment.

This all started when the victim’s mother sent her son to her boyfriend’s house for treatment after frequently experiencing vomiting.

“At around 6:20am, the female suspect was contacted by her boyfriend who told her that the victim had fallen and was unconscious before the woman then took the victim and her boyfriend to the Melaka Hospital for treatment,”

“The result of the doctor’s examination found that the victim had injuries on the head and body, and the preliminary investigation was then carried out, and it was found that the suspect was the boyfriend of the victim’s mother,” he added.

The boy’s body was later taken to the Forensic Medicine Unit where the results of an autopsy revealed that there were injuries to his head and body.
