20yo Student Critically Injured After Ex-Boyfriend Slashes Her Neck at a Private Uni in Subang

A 20-year-old student from a private university was seriously injured after being slashed in a violent incident on July 14 at a university in Subang Jaya.

According to Berita Harian, the foreign student sustained severe injuries to the left side of her neck after allegedly being attacked with a knife.

Her ex-boyfriend attacked her

In a statement, Subang Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, confirmed that they received a report at around 6:30 PM involving a 21-year-old foreign man.

“The suspect, who is also the victim’s ex-boyfriend, was arrested by police shortly after the incident,” he said.

He added that the victim was rushed to the University of Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM), where she was placed in the Red Zone for further treatment. She is currently in stable condition.

The motive is still under investigation

Wan Azlan said the case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt using a weapon or other dangerous object.

“If found guilty, the suspect could face up to 10 years in prison, a fine, or both,” he added.

He also urged anyone with information to contact the investigating officer, Inspector Fadizah Ajamin, at 019-8582166. All information provided will be kept strictly confidential.
