10pm to 6am Curfew Will No Longer Be Enforced During CMCO, Says Senior Minister
The 10pm to 6am curfew and inter-district travel restrictions will no longer be enforced, Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said in his press conference today (5 May).
He said that during the conditional movement control order (CMCO), inter-state travel is still banned, but limited inter-state travel will be allowed between 7 to 10 May.
Ismail then noted that inter-state travel via public transport is still being discussed as they need to determine how many buses are needed, for example.
“We are studying… for instance, to decide how many buses are needed,” he said.
“Inter-state travel is still not allowed, so currently the express buses are not operating.”
Meanwhile, Malaysians are allowed to travel anywhere within an “infected local area” excepted to an enhanced MCO area unless they have permission from the authorities to do so, according to Section 4(1) of the May 3 federal gazette issued by Health Minister Dr Adham Baba.
