TikTok, a leading destination for short-form mobile video, has recently concluded this year’s regional TikTok LIVE FEST. This event is TikTok LIVE’s annual global creator celebration that selects the top creators of the year by region and globally by providing them opportunities to showcase them offline. With that, we are thrilled to announce the winners of the Malaysian TikTok LIVE Fest 2024, further shaping the livestream industry in Malaysia.

Searching high and low, Yu Wei went around the block to find the right “job” that would allow her to combine her singing passion and overcome her fear of being in front of a camera. Through TikTok LIVE and the support of her friends, she gathered the courage to hit the “Go Live” button. Inspired by many who turned to TikTok as a means to sustain their livelihoods, she found a great sense of comfort and ease through her collaboration with W Talent Agency on TikTok, and ultimately leading her onto becoming the champion in TikTok LIVE Fest Malaysia. She is most grateful to her supporters, who she affectionately names them as “Ferns” or “Fermily”, symbolising a vibrant and resilient support towards her journey and growth. Yu Wei’s story is an example of being inspired by others and embracing a new journey to inspire creativity.

Previously a stage performer, Qin Rou faced a life-changing setback when she lost her vocal ability, limiting her career options and cutting down gig opportunities. Refusing to let adversity define her, she discovered live-streaming as a new platform to share her passion for singing. Joining W Talent Agency on TikTok, Qin Rou turned her challenges into triumphs. Her dedication paid off when she secured second place in her first-ever TikTok LIVE Fest, a testament to her resilience and talent.

Three years ago, Adelyn transitioned from banking to live-streaming, starting with a simple setup and a big dream: to bring joy to her viewers. Through TikTok LIVE, she built the “Peach Family,” a supportive community that has shared her incredible journey. From her first 1M score to becoming a top union leader and now a Top 3 winner in TikTok LIVE Fest Malaysia, Adelyn’s story is one of resilience, gratitude, and the power of community.

These creators who were selected through an elimination mechanism have stood out through their creativity, connection with fans, and mastery of hosting TikTok LIVE. By leveraging interactive features, engaging audiences in real-time, and delivering unique content, they have risen to the top of the Malaysian leaderboard.
TikTok LIVE FEST was conceptualized to encourage more creators to go LIVE on TikTok, as well as provide greater opportunities for them to monetize, while also showcasing the diverse range of creators and content available on the platform. Additionally, we also aim to encourage engagement and highlight the value of gifting in LIVE streams and encourage more users to support and appreciate their favourite creators by using the gifting feature.
To commemorate the incredible journey of many LIVE creators from the beginning of LIVE Fest Malaysia 2024, TikTok LIVE is hosting a special awards night themed TikTok Verse on 20th December, where creators will enjoy an array of performances, activities, and special guest star appearances.
