[TEST] M’sian Man Pulls Over to Help Food Delivery Rider Who Flagged Him Down, Gets Sexually Assaulted in Return

Lucas (pseudonym) recently reached out to WORLD OF BUZZ to share a disturbing encounter he had with a food delivery rider who flagged him down at a traffic light in Georgetown, Penang.

His first encounter with the food delivery driver

While Lucas was driving, he pulled over to the side of the road to check his tyre. During his stop, a food delivery rider noticed him and came over to see if he needed help.

The rider asked if everything was okay, inquired if Lucas was alone, and repeatedly asked if he felt fit to drive. Lucas assured him that he was fine.

After their brief interaction, the rider eventually left, and Lucas continued on his way to drop off a friend at a nearby apartment.

Despite the rider’s peculiar behaviour, Lucas still chose to help

After dropping off his friend, Lucas stopped at a red traffic light. Out of the blue, the same food delivery rider he had encountered earlier flagged him down, seemingly needing assistance.

Without giving it much thought and not recognising him as the rider from before, Lucas pulled over to find out what was wrong.

Acting as a concerned and responsible citizen, Lucas rolled down his window to check on the rider, asking if everything was alright.

During their brief conversation, Lucas noticed the rider was speaking incoherently, with slurred speech that suggested he might be under the influence.

“Despite his odd behavior, I was still worried about him. But then he asked me to stop at a dark corner, which I found suspicious, though I still insisted on helping.”

The rider realised Lucas’ car door was unlocked

The situation took a disturbing turn when the food delivery rider suddenly opened the passenger door and entered Lucas’ car, taking advantage of the unlocked door.

Lucas explained that despite his immediate request for the rider to leave, things quickly escalated. Without consent, the rider grabbed and pulled Lucas towards him, forcibly kissing him on the lips, leaving him completely shaken by the shocking assault.

“What are you going to do about it?”

Lucas shared that the unexpected and aggressive behaviour left him in shock and panic, but he still tried to get the rider to leave his car.

In response, the rider defiantly asked,

“What if I don’t? What are you going to do about it?”

Things escalated when the rider not only refused to leave but also touched his crotch without consent, making further inappropriate and harassing comments, adding to the distressing situation.

The delivery rider fled the scene

Feeling overwhelmed by fear and unable to process the violation he was experiencing, Lucas then abandoned his car and called out for help repeatedly when a security guard from a nearby apartment came to the scene however didn’t intervene.

Realising the severity of his actions and the increasing attention, the food rider quickly fled the scene on his motorcycle.

“I managed to capture the rider’s license plate and have provided the full dashcam footage to the food rider’s company for their investigation. The company has confirmed that the said rider had no active order at the time and had followed my car for some time.”

Lucas is doing everything he can to get through it

Lucas described how the traumatic experience continues to haunt him, leaving him deeply shaken even to this day.

“I break into sweats, and I’ve lost my appetite whenever it crosses my mind. This happens multiple times a day. I’m still not in a good place, but my family and I are doing everything we can to seek justice.”

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Lucas expressed his heartfelt gratitude to those supporting him through this difficult time. He also urged others to stay alert and exercise caution, even in situations that might seem harmless at first.

He also mentioned that a police report has been filed, and he’s now waiting for updates on the case.
