Ever since the start of the Movement Control Order, we have seen daily updates of violators who refuse to abide with the order, being arrested and fined for their stubbornness. Despite increasing the level of punishment, there are those who are still trying their luck to violate the current order.

Because of this, there are about 19,434 individuals that had been arrested from the start of MCO till Friday (24 April). According to Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, as reported by NST, out of the 13 temporary prisons opened for MCO detention centres, 11 temporary prisons had already begun operations.

On Friday itself, 830 roadblocks were done nationwide with 537,320 vehicles checked and 649 individuals were also charged in court. Apart from roadblocks, the authorities have completed 4,064 sanitisation operations in 126 zones, under the supervision of the Housing and Local Government Ministry.

We plead to everyone out there, please abide by the MCO ruling. If you have any emergency or special cases, please refer to your nearest police station to ensure you get the right permission or else you will land yourselves in trouble!
